"SIMPLY BASSING 2010" 9th Annual SIMPLY BASSING Spring Surf Fishing
Tournament on LONG BEACH ISLAND

EIGHT WEEKS OF FUN STRIPER FISHING COMPETITION
Starts: Saturday, May 1st, 2010 @ 00:00:01 AM (One second after Friday Midnight) Ends: Sunday, June 27th 2010 @ 12:00:00 NOON
Just $20 registration for all entrants

*PRIZES:

1st Place - $1,000
2nd Place - $800
3rd Place - $600
4th Place - $500
5th Place - $400
6th Place - $200
7th Place - $150
8th Place - $100

*NOTE: These prize amounts are based on 200 entrants.
Should we not be able to get 200 entrants, the tournament
committee will adjust prizes accordingly based on the
number of entrants less tournament expense fee.

Entry fee is $20 per person.
All contestants must complete a tournament entry form prior to
fish being caught and submitting their catch.
Stripers must be caught in accordance with local, state and
federal laws.
Stripers must be caught by means of rod and reel.
To qualify, stripers must be over 32-inches and be caught on Long Beach Island.
The bridges connecting the Island with the Mainland are off-limits. A contestant may only win one cash prize.
Contestant must hook, fight and “land” a Striper to have it qualify.
Stripers can be weighed in at any participating shop during regular store hours. These hours may vary. Check with individual shops.
To weigh in a fish, contestants MUST have the Long Beach Island Surf Bass Tournament registration form which is received when signing up.
No exceptions. Lost forms will require re-registering for the event at an additional fee of $20.
Striper size will be based primarily on weight. Should two bass have identical weights, first the length then the girth will be considered. The final tiebreaker will be date of catch with the earliest weigh-in time winning.
Contestants agree to allow the Tournament directors to take photos for publicity purposes.
Contestants must personally weigh in fish within 24 hours of catching it.
Leader board will be posted in weigh stations. The Tournament committee has the right to eliminate any Striper that they deem as taken in violation of the rules.
All Tournament committee decisions are final.

The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife reminds saltwater anglers that the federal government's National Saltwater Angler Registry Program requires most New Jersey saltwater anglers to register prior to fishing in 2010.
You must register if you…
Fish for or catch anadromous species (striped bass, shad, river herring) in state tidal waters Fish in Federal waters (more than 3 miles from shore)
You do not have to register if you…
Are under 16 years of age
Only fish on federally licensed party or charter boats
Hold a Highly Migratory Species Angling Permit
Have a saltwater license from any of the following states:
Alabama California Connecticut Delaware Florida Georgia Louisiana Mississippi New York North Carolina Oregon South Carolina Texas Washington
